If you have difficulty finding one of the following attributes or do not have your music, please let me know. Blessed feast day to you! Today, nine months before the birth of Christ, we celebrate the Annunciation. We commemorate this day the moment that the angel Gabriel came to the Virgin Mary. He carried an important message: God chose the Virgin to bear his Son. One of the songs from our Christmas concert, Song of Mary, is a new setting of an old Basque hymn. This hymn, also known as Gabriel's Message or The Angel Gabriel, may be used to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord (Dec. 25) as well as the Feast of the Annunciation (Mar. 25.) Your family may want to sing one of the following hymns together.

Below are a number of resources you can use to celebrate the feast day of St. Joseph the Betrothed, the spouse of the Most Blessed Virgin. St. Joseph can be invoked for many causes, but he is primarily known as the patron and protector of families, particularly that of the church family. A Prayer for St. Joseph's Intercession Grant, we pray, almighty God, that by Saint Joseph's intercession your Church may constantly watch over the unfolding of the mysteries of human salvation, whose beginnings you entrusted to his faithful care. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Further Resources to Celebrate today's Feast |
